23 Travel Inspirations

The Dalai Lama said it best “Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before.” Words of wisdom to carry forth your travel dreams. And heck, he’s the Dalai Lama; he definitely knows a thing or two about a thing or two.

There is truly so much to see and people to learn from and new places to explore that will forever change who you are. You will look at your world in a whole new light because of these experiences. You will develop a moving appreciation for what you have and a gratitude for what is good and true unlike that which you have ever felt before. It is a way of enlightenment and self-understanding and discovery.

For many of us, travel is our life’s prophecy and thus we must feed the hunger and passion of our souls. Here are 23 photos that will move you to get moving.

Great quote! I’m definitely living that one out but I’d like to add – going somewhere you haven’t been doesn’t need to be overseas or expensive. It’s amazng how much there is to do in your own backyard whether it’s visiting historic places, a new restaurant or somewhere natural like a forest, beach or lake. I try hard to be observant, involved and get out there and do stuff!

Hi EleanorJaneBirdy, I couldn’t agree more about exploring your own backyard. In fact, the more I travel outside of it, I come to grow that much more in love with it and appreciative of it. It’s funny how little of my own country and province I’ve seen. Thanks for your comment. 🙂
